Amphitryon Hotel: Widescreen View

A redesigned boutique hotel with panoramic views of the bay

LOCATION

Nafplio in the Peloponnese, 140 km south of Athens and 90 minutes from Athens International Airport.

BACKGROUND

The little sister of Nafplia Palace Hotel & Villas, the Amphitryon is a newly redesigned boutique hotel offering its guests chic and luxurious accommodation together with dazzling views of the bay and of the fortified islet of Bourtzi. Amphitryon is an ideal spot for relaxation, business but also all kinds of escapes. Palamidi castle, Bourtzi and charming Nafplio are literally next door, while three world heritage sites – Epidaurus, Mycenae and Tiryns – are also in the vicinity, offering ample opportunities for archaeological explorations.

FEATURES

With its 42 guest rooms and three suites, all with panoramic views of the bay, the Amphitryon combines the comfort of home with a high level of personalized service. Guest rooms are spacious, with most offering sitting areas and a private balcony or terrace. All come with marble-lined bathrooms, which in some cases feature whirlpool baths. The suites have their own Jacuzzis, plus the added luxury of private wooden deck terraces.

You can enjoy the hotel’s lounges, including one with a fireplace, or take a swim in the pool at the nearby Nafplia Palace, located within walking distance inside Akronafplia castle, which you can access via elevators that go up through the rock.

If you are in town for business, there are naturally lit meeting rooms for up to 60 persons available and a fully equipped business center. If delegates need valet parking or helicopter access, they can use those available at Nafplia Palace.

FOOD & DRINK

On the first floor of Amphitryon, you can savor fine Mediterranean cuisine at the panoramic Circle restaurant, while the sophisticated Onyx bar next to the restaurant offers an extensive selection of drinks and cocktails.
