Best of Both Worlds: Gastronomic Diff to Host Greece vs Italy Dinner

The event, to take place at Menoo in Kifissia, will explore the intersection between two of the finest cuisines in the Mediterranean.

Gastronomic Diff, an organization based in Greece that seeks to highlight innovation in gastronomy, is to host a “Greece vs Italy” dinner on November 29th at the restaurant Menoo in the northern suburb of Kifissia.

Chef Dimitris Panagiotopoulos will collaborate with Yiannis Platis, the founder of Gastronic Diff, to put on an evening highlighting the differences and similarities between Greek and Italian cuisine, and showcasing how the two can co-exist in a single dish.

It will be yet another event pushing the boundaries of culinary innovation by Gastronomic Diff, which has hosted dinners in Athens and on the island of Sifnos in the past. Their hope is that by bringing together top chefs with fresh approaches to not only Greek but international cuisine, they will get diners to experience new concepts in food, leading to new gastronomic explorations.

The menu, which will cost 50 per head including wine, will include dishes such as minestrone with eel, gnocchi with skorpina (scorpionfish) and moussaka with ragu Veneto.
