Actress Shay Mitchell of Pretty Little Liars fame recently visited Mykonos and Santorini, producing a gorgeously shot, 12-minute video diary of her adventures. As she says in the voiceover, she had long yearned to visit the country after being deluged on social media every summer with pictures from her friends’ Greek island holidays.

The video appears to be a hit, racking up close to 400,000 views in only a few short days.

And Greece appears to have more than lived up to the hype. ”The water was so blue and so clear, it was like I was looking at a postcard,” she says.

Stopping first in Mykonos and then moving on to Santorini, Mitchell pays special homage to Greek food, the free-spirit of Mykonos and the incredible views of Santorini.

“’If Mykonos is where you party, Santorini is where you rest,”

“Thank you Greece for exceeding every expectation, I can’t wait to come back,” she says as the video comes to a close with stunning shots of the sunset from an infinity pool. It’s a feeling that is certainly mutual.
