Sikyon Coast Hotel: Year-round Repose

A resort located next to the pinewood forest of Xylokastro and on one of the Corinthian Gulf’s most beautiful beaches.

LOCATION

In Xylokastro, 150 km from Athens International Airport and 120 km from the center of Athens.

BACKGROUND

Sikyon Coast Hotel and Resort is located next to the pinewood forest of Xylokastro and on one of the Corinthian Gulf’s most beautiful beaches. The resort’s reference point is a 1916 villa that once belonged to Greek poet Angelos Sikelianos, who lived in the area with his wife and muse, Eva Palmer, for about 20 years.

FEATURES

The hotel’s 41 rooms are modern in style, decorated with warm, earthy colors and offer either sea or forest views. The Physis Spa & Health Centre is fully equipped for a luxurious wellness experience, making the resort an ideal destination for rejuvenation even during the winter. In the pool area, guests can enjoy refreshing cocktails from the outdoor bar, while lounging on the comfortable sunbeds under the shade of palm trees and indulging in the beautiful view of the Corinthian Gulf. The hotel also provides one of the best serviced beaches in the area as well as a conference center, fully equipped with all the latest audiovisual technology, that can comfortably accommodate up to 90 delegates.

FOOD & DRINK

Palmer’s restaurant, named after Sikelianos’s wife, is located just a few meters from the sea, in a unique relaxing setting. The chef uses fresh local ingredients to create comfort Greek cuisine and gourmet dishes. The Greek meze card offers a variety of interesting appetizers that combine harmoniously with tsipouro (a pomace brandy), spirits and wines from the Peloponnese. During the summer, the villa’s courtyard features Angelo, an Italian cuisine restaurant whose chef pairs fresh regional materials with artisanal Italian pasta and rice. The dining experience at Angelo is completed with a great selection of Italian wines, selected to complement the dishes on the menu.
