4 Must-Visit Music Festivals in Nature

Each summer, a growing number of festivals take place in Greece’s mountainous regions, offering not only live music and cultural events, but also an immersive experience in nature.

Typically lasting three to four days, these events blend music, culture and outdoor adventure, featuring celebrated Greek performers alongside a range of nature-based experiences. This summer, four standout festivals await in Boeotia, Phthiotis, Kozani, and Zagori.

Vovousa Festival

In the heart of the Pindus mountains – on the banks of the Aoos River, near the protected Valia Kalda forest – the tiny village of Vovousa (population: 35) comes alive each summer through its multidisciplinary cultural festival. Launched in 2014, the event was created to showcase the area’s natural beauty and support the local community.
