Greece is the hot destination for travelers this summer, says Henley Vazquez, co-founder of the travel agency Fora, speaking to Bloomberg.
“Last summer it was Saint-Tropez, the summer before that was the Amalfi Coast,” the expert says. “People are booking Greece left, right and center now.”

“And it’s no secret why,” writes Bloomberg. “Visitors flock to the country for its pristine beaches, the iconic blue-and-white Cycladic towns, ancient historical sights and, of course, that always-fresh culinary scene.”
Due to high demand, airlines have been forced to adjust their schedules, resulting in a record-setting 28.2 million international seats available to Greece this summer, according to the agency.
Markets like the U.S. and the U.K. are showing strong momentum even amid global economic uncertainty.
Both Delta Air Lines and American Airlines are expanding their capacity to Athens, while also adjusting their annual forecasts in anticipation of lower-than-expected demand elsewhere.
Bloomberg recommends six hotels in Greece to its readers. These are:
- Cape Sounio
- Four Seasons Mykonos
- Andronis Luxury Suites in Santorini
- Beach House in Antiparos
- Parilio in Paros
- Avali in Corfu
