Sani/Ikos Group: UK Reservations for Greece at Pre-Pandemic Levels

Despite concerns regarding the rapid spread of the Omicron variant, demand from UK customers for Greece continues to soar.

According to figures reported by Andreas Andreadis, CEO of the Sani/Ikos Group, reservations by UK customers for Greece have already reached pre-pandemic levels, creating high expectations for this year’s tourist season.

His report comes amid the ongoing “tsunami” of cases of the Omicron variant of the coronavirus, currently sweeping across the UK.

“Tour Operators and airlines report strong early demand with a significantly higher average spend,” said Mr Andreadis in a recent post on LinkedIn. “These are positive early signs, that once the omicron scare and eventually the pandemic subsides, will certainly be further reinforced,” he added.

Mr Andreadis also stated that demand from the UK market has, to some extent, returned to pre-pandemic levels for Spain, where the Sani/Ikos group has expanded.

The Group operates and develops ten privately-owned hotel complexes in Greece (Halkidiki, Corfu and Kos) and Spain, which are among the most luxurious holiday resorts in the world.

The goal of the Sani/Ikos Group is the expansion of Sani & Ikos Resorts to other high profile locations in Greece and abroad.
