Cruise Ship Arrivals Rise by 25%

Close to 5000 arrivals are expected this summer at cruise ports around the country.


A 25% increase in cruise ship arrivals was recorded this year in Greece in comparison to 2019, according to data from the Hellenic Ports Association, with the homeporting sector appearing particularly bolstered compared to pre-pandemic levels.

Based on bookings and the latest data, arrivals in the first five months of the year are estimated to reach close to 5,000 and compared to 2021 levels, the rise is estimated at around 150% more.

 

The projected increase in arrivals relates to cruise destinations around Greece and especially the top 15 ports in the sector.
