Dine Athens: Try Out the City’s Best Restaurants on the Cheap

How does two weeks of fine dining in Athens at remarkably low prices sound? Dine Athens presents special menus at 120 of the city's best restaurants.

Organized annually for the last three years, Dine Athens has established itself as the perfect opportunity to enjoy some of the restaurants that have formed the cutting edge of the city’s gastronomy scene, and try out some newcomers as well. This year 120 of the city’s best restaurants will present special menus at amazingly low prices (15€, 30€, or 60€ per person for dinner, plus lunch menus at 15€ and 30€), for two weeks, starting today (January 28-February 10).

Aside from traditional and contemporary Greek and Mediterranean cuisine, participating restaurants include fusion places such as famous Nolan, and restaurants with exotic menus like Japanese Izakaya and South American CHE Cocina y Barra Sudamericana.

Many are bound to jump at the chance to dine at some of Athens’ most well-known fine dining restaurants, like Michelin star awarded Hytra, which will serve an eight-course menu accompanied by four wines, and Varoulko, which will serve a six-course menu of their famous seafood, for prices much lower than normal (both restaurants’ menus will be available for 60€). To make sure you get a table at the restaurant of your choice, have a look at all menus and book your table here (link in Greek).

Aside from the special menus, Dine Athens also presents exclusive Greek celebrity chef dining experiences, wine tastings, cooking classes, and opportunities to taste food by international star chefs, who will be flown in for the occasion.

The event is organized by Alpha Bank, and there will be an additional 10% discount on meals for all of the bank’s cardholders.
