Greece Voted “Favourite Cruise Destination” at Wave Awards

Greece wins the top spot at this years' British Wave Awards, voted for by the public, tourism industry professionals and specialist marine tourism writers.


“Favourite Cruise Destination” was awarded to Greece at the Wave Awards, a prestigious international institution for marine tourism in the UK.

The Wave Awards are held every year after a vote involving the public, tourism professionals and specialist writers in the field of marine tourism. The event is organised by Real Response Media, which owns World of Cruising and Cruise Trade News magazines, with which the UK and Ireland Tourist Office has traditionally worked in recent years as part of its advertising campaign.

 

“World of Cruising” magazine has 300,000 subscribers across all its platforms, with 135,000 unique visitors to the website and 24,000 social media followers. Similarly, “Cruise Trade News” has 54,500 subscriptions across all its platforms, with 30,000 unique visitors visiting the website and 4,500 social media followers.

The Greek award was received by the Head of the EOT Service United Kingdom & Ireland, Eleni Skarveli.
