According to a recent feature by Travel + Leisure, Samos ranks among the Greek islands with the cleanest and most beautiful beaches. The American travel publication highlights Potami Beach, noting: “Potami Beach, a pebbly spot on the island of Samos, is sandwiched between a lush landscape and the inviting, blue Mediterranean waters.” As of this year, Potami has earned Blue Flag status, underscoring its environmental quality and further cementing its spot on the global travel map.
The natural beauty of the island of Pythagoras is also highlighted by Express.co.uk, describing it as an earthly paradise filled with historic sites, picturesque villages, stunning beaches, and opportunities for outdoor adventures. The British publication also makes special mention of new direct connections from the UK via Jet2, scheduled to begin in 2026.

“ We launched a targeted outreach campaign in London last November with the goal of establishing new flight routes. The positive response from industry players such as JET2 Holidays, who showed a clear focus on expanding into new markets, demonstrates Samos’ growing appeal and potential to meet the needs of a wide variety of travelers,” noted Vangelis Marnezos, Deputy Mayor of Tourism for Western Samos.
Samos also made an impression at ITB Berlin, the world’s largest travel trade show. Following meetings at the event, the international travel platform Orbitapopular.com highlighted the island’s unique offerings: “Along the entire coast of Samos you can find unique pebble and sandy beaches with a very clean and crystal clear sea. The island of Samos also stands out especially for being the birthplace of important people such as Pythagoras, considered the founder of modern mathematical thought and the theory of music. Pythagoras was a teacher and spiritual guide, philosopher, mathematician and astronomer.”
