Plans have been in the works since the pre-Covid era but have only been able to come into fruition now to create a well-mixed concept for the Athens Cocktail Festival. The event was created to promote Athens’ increasingly famous cocktail scene, which includes several globally awarded bars and mixologists.

On the weekend of May 21-22 the Stavros Niarchos Cultural Centre’s (SNFCC) ‘Faros’ will be opening its gates to thirsty cocktail lovers from 17:00-23:00 and visitors will be able to enjoy sampling cocktails by different mixologists and watching them create their magic.

Immediately following the weekend at the SNFCC, in the week from May 22 to 28, the some of the city’s most prominent bars will be hosting tastings and events as part of Athens Cocktail Week. Barro Negro, Tiki bar Athens and The Clumsies Athens are some of the nine bars where visitors will be able to taste two cocktails for 10 euros.

Events will include live music performances, DJ sets, guest shifts with well known mixologists and even an educational seminar.
