Canteen's variety of food and understated decor has made it a gathering spot for young Thessalonians
Canteen restaurant’s casual atmosphere with a post-industrial design look, it’s all-day menu and location in the center of Thessaloniki have helped place it among the city’s “places to be”. The morning crowd slips in for an aromatic cup of coffee as the breakfast menu makes way to an array of snacks for brunch. Who can resist French toast, pancakes or quiche lorraine? Lunchtime includes modern Greek dishes with Italian influences but there are also a number of tapas to enjoy with wine. At night, there are a wide variety of cocktails to enjoy while listening to jazz music.
The menu has been put together by local chef Menelaos Stefanakidis, however talented guest chefs from around Greece make an appearance in Canteen’s kitchen once a month from September to June, offering the best of what they have to offer to the diners of well-known eatery.
