Following the Greek-Israeli bilateral agreement on tourism, lost-cost Hungarian airline, Wizz Air, is adding two new routes from Israel to the Greek islands to meet soaring demand.
The new routes, which will start in June, connect Tel Aviv with Corfu and Zakynthos and are added to those already announced by the airline to Rhodes, Crete, Mykonos, and Santorini. Prices start from €55 for both destinations. The routes between Corfu and Tel Aviv will start on June 15th, with the Zakynthos-Tel Aviv connection starting two days later.
The Greek-Israeli bilateral agreement recognizes the “green pass” granted to Israelis when they are vaccinated, a scheme that has already been activated. Under the terms of the travel agreement, Greece will be able to receive up to 10,000 vaccinated Israeli tourists per week.
Tel Aviv is added on the new destinations list of Wizz Air from the Ionian Islands, along with Sofia, Bucharest (Henri Coanda International Airport), and Warsaw (Chopin International Airport).
