Seleni Suites: A Design Hotel

A Boutique Deluxe Hotel in alpine surroundings

LOCATION

Directly opposite the town of Vytina and just below the green fir forest of Mount Mainalo; a two-hour drive from Athens (around 182k).

BACKGROUND

Named after the Ancient Greek word for Helen, Seleni Suites is a unique hotel complex offering luxurious and designer accommodation in alpine surroundings. It consists of two buildings connected via a gallery. The main building accommodates the suites, reception and public areas, all of which are spread over three levels, while the adjacent stone building houses self-contained apartments, all on ground level. If you are a fan of modern interior design, Seleni Suites is probably the most stylish and contemporary place to stay in the mountainous Arcadia region.

FEATURES

There are 26 suites and four apartments to choose from, all elegantly furnished, and offering delightful views of the surrounding countryside.

Design aficionados can opt for the family suites, the Seleni Suite, or the Superior Seleni Suite, which feature furniture pieces inspired by famous designers like Ingo Maurer, Le Corbusier, Jens Risom and Philippe Starck. If you need more privacy, you can choose one of the four stone-built apartments, which are completely independent from the main building and are surrounded by a garden of aromatic herbs, roses and trees.

In the Seleni Suites complex you can find a lending library with 800 titles; a games room, where you may watch your favorite movie or TV show, play games, surf the internet and shoot some pool; meeting facilities for up to 150 participants that can be equipped upon request; a kindergarten for children up to 7 years of age; and a fitness center. You can also choose various therapeutic massages.

FOOD & DRINK

At the Black & White Restaurant the design competes with the food, which is prepared from the best local produce. Here you will enjoy breakfast, buffet or à la carte while sitting in Eiffel and La Chaise chairs, inspired by the designs of Charles and Ray Eames. For dinner, food is prepared on request and awaits you upon arrival at the hotel or upon your return from your outings. Children’s meals can also be prepared to order. At the Seleni Lounge Bar you can enjoy Willydilly lighting by Ingo Maurer and the suspended Gyro Focus fireplace-sculpture by Dominique Imbert, while enjoying aromatic teas, brewed from herbs grown in the hotel’s gardens, or delicious cocktails.
