Souvenirs are more than objects: they’re keepsakes, gifts, and tangible memories of the places we visit. The perfect one fits in a suitcase, delights its recipient, and carries a trace of the experience we lived. In contemporary Athens, every neighborhood offers thoughtful options for shopping and gifting. Here are six of our favorite addresses for distinctive, meaningful souvenirs.
Located in the heart of Athens, Hyper Hypo blends a love of books with contemporary art and design. This award-winning bookshop curates an international and local selection of books and magazines on art, design, photography, architecture, fashion, graphic design, film and pop culture. Its basement also doubles as an event space – if you’re lucky, you may catch an exhibition or a book launch. Either way, a stop at this colorful corner is essential.
