Greece earned significant distinctions once again this year at the annual Leisure Lifestyle Awards, organized by the leading American travel magazine Global Traveler. This confirms that the country consistently remains one of the most popular European destinations in the American travel market.
Specifically, Greece was named the winner for the fourth consecutive year in the category “Best Historical Attractions, International” in the 13th edition of the awards.

At the same time, Santorini secured the top spot for the twelfth year in a row in the “Best Island in Europe” category.
Awards of High Value
The Leisure Lifestyle Awards recognize the best leisure travel experiences around the world, with winners selected through an open-ended survey conducted among the magazine’s readers. The survey for this year’s awards ran from September 20, 2024, to January 30, 2025, and covered a total of 67 categories spanning leisure, luxury, and lifestyle travel.
