Summer Sales: Beach Fashion to Shop Now from Greek Designers

If there’s one thing Greek fashion designers know particularly well, it’s how to dress us for a day at the beach.

The Greek summer sales have just begun, and as we plan our holidays on the islands, the first thing we’re buying is our beach gear. This year, perhaps as a creative response to the joy we all feel about finally being able to travel and celebrate summer as we should, designers have presented swimwear and beach accessories that are bright and fun, full of color and pretty prints, making the sales even more fun than usual.

Below are a few great items to shop from some of the first Greek brands to announce their sales items this season.

Beach everything from Vinge Project

Up-and-coming brand Vinge Project, seen often on Greek influencers, are popular for swimwear with pretty cuts and girly prints (although they also design for men), and over-sized beach bags. This year, they also presented their first beach towels, starting with their Kala Taxidia (Happy Travels) collection, created in cooperation with illustrator Tania Cinatti, which feature an abstract map of the Cyclades, and which can be found among their summer sales items.

Sun protective kids swimwear from Yoli & Minimum

The swim suits from Yoli & Minimum aren’t just cute, they’re also enforced with 50+ UV protection, so little ones can play longer in the sun with fewer sun cream touch ups. They carry swimwear for girls and boys as well as some “Mommy and me” designs.

Especially sweet are the floral designs from their collaboration with Oh My Hug, another Greek brand, currently on sale.

Beach towels from Sun of a Beach

We love the double-sided beach towels from Sun of a Beach for the opposite reason we love a light peshtemal: these towels, made from 100% Egyptian cotton, are thick, soft and luxurious. Available in a suitable 100×145-centimeter size as well as ponchos for kids, these are exactly the kind of cozy towel we want wrapped around us after an evening swim.

Right now, we’re especially infatuated with the Electric Eyes design, which is also available on bags and swimwear for women and kids.

Kimonos & swimwear from Celia Dragouni

Another long-time favorite coverup on the beach are the long, printed kimonos from Celia Dragouni, several of which are currently on sale. Also check out the designer’s peacock design swimwear, for a perfect match. The peacock, the webshop states, symbolizes beauty, good luck, protection, self-confidence, self-esteem, refinement, knowledge, sexuality and pride.

Surf suits from Ma Boo

Whether or not you intend to actually go surfing, the long-sleeved surf suits from Ma Boo will still look awesome on the beach, and the additional protection from the sun is great for those with sensitive skin. What’s more, throw on a pair of shorts, and you have an outfit for later.

Romantic retro style swimwear from Madame Shoushou

Lovely Greek brand Madame Shoushou design clothes that are wonderfully romantic. We found some of their swimsuits (for women) at half price in their e-shop right now, but hurry up – only two styles, a light blue onepiece with flowers and lace straps; and a bikini with velvet details, remain available.
