BACKGROUND

The Makedonia Palace luxury hotel was built during the 1970s and is regarded as one of Greece’s most famous and prestigious hotels. Over the years it has hosted many Greek and international celebrities, while every September, during the annual opening ceremony of the Thessaloniki International Trade Fair, it hosts the Greek Prime Minister along with most of the Cabinet.

The White Tower, the city’s landmark and most significant monument, is just a few steps away, while downtown Thessaloniki is a five-minute walk.

For a taste of creative Greek cuisine, try the renovated Symposium restaurant.

The Thymare restaurant offers fresh seafood dishes accompanied by good wine and an enchanting view of the Thermaikos gulf from its terrace or lounge.

 

At the Italian restaurant Navona you can start your day with an espresso and a tasty snack, move on to some traditional Italian dishes, such as pizza or pasta and, later on, relax at the bar with an aperitif or a signature cocktail.

Another option for coffee or cocktails is the Salonica café-bar, located right next to the hotel’s entrance, offering temporary respite in between ventures into the city.

Finally, cocktails can also be enjoyed at the Pool bar, open from May to September.
