Just after sunset in Athens, the city transforms into a magical open-air concert hall. This summer, Candlelight Open Air returns with a captivating series of live performances under the stars, offering an unforgettable musical experience like no other.

Presented by Fever, Candlelight is an international concert series that brings classical and contemporary music into unexpected spaces. This summer, two of Athens’ most atmospheric venues will host the experience: the Melina Mercouri Open Air Theatre in Vyronas and the lush grounds of the Byzantine and Christian Museum.

Each performance is illuminated entirely by candlelight and features live music by acclaimed local ensembles such as the Novarte Quartet and STELLAR Quartet. The repertoire is diverse, spanning centuries and genres: from Vivaldi’s timeless Four Seasons to the sweeping cinematic scores of Hans Zimmer. Fans of popular music can also enjoy tributes to Coldplay, Queen, Imagine Dragons, The Beatles, and ABBA — a lineup as eclectic and vibrant as Athens itself.
