Zamba Cafe

This historic café first opened its doors when Arachova was the commercial livestock center of Viotia, long before it became a popular tourist destination. With timeless charm, but without overdoing the nostalgia, it serves appetizers, eggs in many variations (fried, kagianas, with tomato, with kavourma), pies, cheeses, delicious pickles, and a nice selection of spoon sweets.

O Tea Pineis

Greek-Russian Athena Boboli has created one of the most extraordinary shops in Arachova, selling Russian teas and herbs from Mount Parnassos on the ground floor and functioning as a fabulous café on the upper floor. Head up for a mini-tea seminar with tea served à la Russian, from ornate samovars (traditional Russian tea urns) and porcelain mugs. The knowledge and enthusiasm of the owner will encourage you fall in love with the ritual of tea.

Sehre Café

A place that loves good food, with a mix of domestic and international influences. The Black Angus ribs with chestnut cream and mushrooms, the ragout (stew) with handmade potato gnocchi, the kebab with tomato, smoked paprika, eggplant, and Arachova sheep’s yogurt are some of the dishes you will find here. It is a familiar hangout for the skiers on their way up to Mount Parnassos, who visit it regularly and also pick up bottled cold brew coffee for their excursions to the mountain.

Fterolakka

A beloved hangout among the locals of Arachova, complete with delicious food and polite staff. Here the menu is not read from a list but is stuck on bottles. Stop by for stews, grilled meat, and an awesome beetroot salad with sour apple, walnut and yogurt sauce. Ask to try the local Vasilia tsipouro.

Panagiota

In the pantheon of Arachova’s eateries, Panagiota has fed eminent personalities, as can be seen from the many thank you notes on the wall. Here, the food is about family, with plenty of focus on delicious meat dishes. The cheesecake also stands out for its extraordinary taste and presentation.

What is most impressive here is the large patio that fills the space with light. This beautiful space, ideal for groups of friends to meet for a relaxed morning coffee or a quiet read of the newspaper, serves a variety of dishes, from pancakes and croque monsieur to pumpkin soufflé and noodles with beef ragout.

Barile Resto Vino Bar

Open from early in the morning until late at night, as many places in Arachova are, this bar’s cellar boasts a superb selection of wines. As for its food menu, the chef brings together Asian traditions with Balkan (Roumeli) cuisine. Try the bao buns with spetsofai (traditional dish with sausage and peppers) and the spring rolls stuffed with wild boar stew.
